Summary:
The involvement of large sections of the Austrian population in the Nazi extermination machine is still evident today. For a long time, remembering the Holocaust was as much a taboo for the surviving victims and their descendents as it was for the perpetrators and their children. Does this taboo still exist for the children’s children and their children – the great-grandchildren? The film "Call Me a Jew" poses many questions: What is remembered? What is forgotten? And above all: How are the survivors faring today? Through the mosaic of interviews, the film attempts to map the complex connections between yesterday and today, between private and public, in order to draw conclusions from the past.
