With the Festival of Tolerance, cultural programs of Zagreb and RIjeka become richer for another important event that finds its place on the prosperous festival scene and develops into a recognizable and unavoidable cultural event. The fact that the Festival will travel to Sarajevo represents an extraordinary step forward for the cultural and institutional cooperation in the region. This unique festival hosted in Zagreb and Rijeka is the only film festival in the world focusing on the education of the young, particularly underlying the importance of conveying the truth about the Holocaust, developing tolerance, understanding differences and every individual’s right to life. With its repeated guest editions, held in Rijeka and Sarajevo, the Festival will improve the harmonization of the regional initiatives participating in the realization of the program.
